About Me

I am an enthusiastic digital marketer and an obsessed traveler in a never-ending love affair with solo world travel. I spend half of my life creating and marketing content and the other half within the pages of my passport. I am driven with a passion for exploring the planet, an insatiable desire for adventures, meeting new people, understanding their culture, and creating wonderful memories.

Hi! My name is Gabriela and I like to travel.
Oh, you figured that part out already? Okay then. I am from Spain, specifically from Bilbao, in the north of Spain. I have traveled quite a lot since I was little but the more I see, the more I crave! A few months after I bagged my bachelor’s degree, I started traveling independently and in 6 years, I have traveled across 32 countries.

When I decided to ditch my routine life in Spain and start my nomadic life, my major concerns were…

“Is it safe to travel alone as a woman?”

“How do I find the money to travel? It seems too
expensive for me.”

“Is it safe to travel alone as a woman?”

“How do I plan my trip?”

“How do I stay safe and healthy?”

“How do I maximize my time?”

“I want to travel more, but I don’t know the first step.”

All my concerns disappeared the moment I set my foot on that flight with destination: Nepal.
My goal is to inspire you to be adventurous and show you that the nomadic lifestyle is an affordable and fulfilling lifestyle choice. I will help you achieve that by sharing my detailed travel guides, experiences, adventures, tips, resources and more!

How did I grow up?

Although I am from Bilbao, I was raised in Madrid surrounded by my family and awesome friends who motivated me to travel and traveled with me since I was a little girl. I had everything a child could ask for. Moreover, my mum is a travel planner addict and as you could imagine, I’ve gone out to her…Thank you Mum!

I’ve always loved
meeting new people,

Understanding new cultures…

And creating wonderful memories…

How did I start traveling?

It was the 3rd of September and I was taking that flight to Nepal. I left many things behind, such as my 9 to 5 job and my life in Madrid. But when I realized I had managed to overcome my fears, and I had been brave to make that decision, I felt extremely blissful. And there I was, standing at the terminal T4 Barajas in Madrid with a 40 liters backpack on my back and many experiences ahead.

Since then, an amazing journey of 8 months in Asia was waiting for me. Those eight months were the best in my life as my life was enriched by beauty and diversity. During my eight-month in Asia, not only did I visit new places, learn new cultures and meet new people, I grew personally and worked with the locals to maintain myself.

I find traveling such an incredible experience where you learn about yourself, people around you, and self-care. Most importantly, my journey helped me discover my dream job that I could not consider a job but rather another passion; “Digital marketing.”

From Full time traveler to 50% Digital marketer.

Discovering blogging, SEO, Affiliate and website design was a decisive event on my journey and it marked a before and after on it. Driven by the passion and delusion of it, I started learning and working on it online. Now, three years after, I can still declare digital marketing my passion and my full-time job at the same time while still being a wanderluster.

What is my favorite country?

My favorite place to explore is NEPAL. Without a doubt, it is the best place I’ve seen in my life and combines everything I am looking for when I travel. The beautiful landscapes, vibrant cities, the people, their art and culture, food and the travelers in Nepal are beautiful, unforgettable memories.

Even after spending several months there, I still try to stay connected with the country in any way I can.

Why do I focus on
female travelers?

Throughout all my travels, I’ve found many women around the world whose desire is to travel on their own or with other groups of girls, but did not have the courage to do so because they were feeling unsafe. During all my journeys, most of my friends were men since the ratio of women traveling is very small (1/10 approximately).

There is a lot of scaremongering designed to scare women away from traveling on their own, but I am here to clear up those tales.
I feel responsible for showing you how to maximize the value of your journeys, and my ultimate goal is to show women that independent and solo travel can be safe, easy, comfortable and a lot of fun.

As a female, I want you to know you can travel independently and feel safe at the same time. Create your own story and leave a bit of your sparkle everywhere you go. Take that step today.
